Murray Fox has served on a number of public and private company boards of directors. He is a recognized leader with extensive business experience in real estate development, senior management, strategic planning, all areas of finance and administration, and corporate debt restructuring.
Formerly an articling student and senior accountant of Arthur Andersen, Chartered Accountants, he received his CA designation in 1975 and a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours, from the University of Saskatchewan in 1973. From 1983 to 1995, Murray was the well-known Director, President and CEO of Consolidated Carma Corporation, a public real estate development company. Prior to that, he was Corporate Controller of NuWest Group Inc., a public real estate development company.
From 1995 to 1997, Murray was appointed Vice Chairman & Director of Canada 2005 Exposition Corporation — a corporation established by the City of Calgary to pursue the 2005 World Fair. He was Executive Vice President of Jayman Master Builder Inc., home building and land development, from 2000–2009.
