History of the West Campus Land
The Province of Alberta transferred the West Campus lands to the University of Calgary in 1995.
Having completed a study in 2010, the University confirmed that the lands are not required for future academic facilities.Instead, the lands will help the University enhance its reputation on a national and international level by providing an integrated urban community that will attract key faculty, researchers and students.
The Trust will transform the lands, generating financial return on investment, while remaining committed to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
All profits will go back to support future university initiatives.
